About Rick Lum.

Born and raised in Sydney Australia – Rick has always been a talented artist, having discovered a natural talent and passion for his art from a very young age. After finishing high school Rick enrolled at the National Art School in East Sydney to study fine arts for a number of years. During this period he also learnt to play Bass guitar and eventually became a full time musician with Hush, one of Australia's top legendary Rock bands in the seventies, Rick also had the opportunity to utilise his creative skills to do all the band's artwork and stage set designs. A few years later when the group disbanded Rick went back to art school to study Graphic Design. Rick graduated and then went on to work in Advertising for a while as an Art Director and designer. As much as Rick enjoyed learning graphic design computer skills for this industry, his passion for painting and drawing never faded, particularly with the caricature work. Rick now has his own business and finds a happy balance devoting his time to music, design, painting and caricatures.
