Caricatures by Rick Lum
Caricature cartoons are an artist’s representation of a persons character and appearance. I particularly like to specialise in capturing a persons individual personality. Caricatures make a great gift idea, There is no greater tribute than a personalised caricature drawn for a special person. It's ideal as an award for high achievers, a team reward, special occasions like 21st, 40th, 50th birthdays, going away gifts and anniversaries.
NOTE: Some suppliers claim to be caricature artists but they're only tracing over your photo using computer aided tools and then sell you a print out. I'm a real artist and every caricatiure is a lovingly hand drawn original. They won't look hard and stiff like a computer tracing.
You get the real one-off original artwork! Not a computer print out.
Caricatures are loved by everyone!
You can highlight their individualism and strengths...it's personal and it's fun! The person can be illustrated in a humorous situation surrounded by objects and a location which best describe their personality. All I require is a good clear close up head photo, the larger the better, well lit and in focus. You can email me a large Jpeg file or post me the actual photograph. See more details on the PRICES page.

About the artwork above.
The customer wanted to surprise her husband with a caricature of himself for his 50th birthday. He is a huge Arsenal Soccer team fan. When he saw his special gift he was absolutley thrilled and I have since recieved other orders from the same customer.
Plus receive absolutely FREE a personalised poem about the person on a separate A4 page!

Featuring recent work
This customer was a Sydney law firm and one of their staff contacted me to do a suprise farewell caricature for one of the solicitors who was leaving the company. Apparently he's a bit of a ladies man and although he's an aussie he likes to show off his French speaking accent which we agreed would set the theme for the artwork.
Further to the briefing was to depict in the background on the left his current work place then on the right show how he's moving up in the world to a bigger law firm and more pay! He also plays violin and carries a Louis Vitttan handbag which apparantly is an on going in-house joke with the staff.
Know someone that would love to get a surprise caricature?
It's the perfect gift for a person who has everthing and you have no idea what to give!
